Moisturise First
Apply an unscented lotion before layering. Dry skin eats fragrance — hydrated skin holds scent molecules longer and makes layers blend more cohesively.
Heaviest First
Always apply your base-heavy scent first (ouds, ambers, musks). These need body heat to bloom and create the foundation that lighter top notes sit on.
Wait Between Layers
Give each scent 2–5 minutes between applications. This prevents the top notes from fighting each other and allows each fragrance to open fully.
Pulse Points Only
Apply to wrists, neck, inner elbows, and behind ears. These warm points project scent outward. Never rub — it crushes the top notes and breaks the accord.
Layer by Longevity
Place shorter-lived scents (florals, citrus) on top of long-lasting bases (woody, oriental). As the top layer fades, the base continues to evolve and deepen.
